WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU BOOK OPEN WATER SWIMMING

All our lakes, at Burton Farm, are spring fed. Fresh and clean spring water is continuously flowing in and out of the lakes all year round.

Our water is tested throughout the year through Swim Safety. Our latest results are shown below. ​​

All our swimmers should be familiar with the rules. You can find the link to our rules on the swimming page, or click on the image below. Our rules are in place to ensure everyone has a safe and peaceful experience. You will also notice signs up around the lakes with a reminder of the rules.

Both the Redwood and Willow lake have a changing hut with hooks and benches. These are accessible to swimmers only. We also have outdoor toilets located in the main carpark if you would like more privacy. Each lake has a ramp for entering the lake. Although picnics are not allowed on site, we do have a lovely cafe for refreshments throughout the day.

Open water swimming is a very social activity. Many new friendships have been formed at Burton Farm through shared swimming experiences.
